PROGRAMS OVERVIEW

There are several options to get involved with The Little Folk School this year. We are looking for students and families seeking a childhood filled with joy and exploration. Students interested in extensive time outdoors in nature and out in our community, instead of being confined to the walls of a traditional classroom, could be a great fit for our microschool. Families looking for enrichment opportunities to do together should consider our Learning Collaborative and Open Adventures groups.

It's important to us that we share that we are a secular program that uses secular resources and speak with our children about the importance of seeing each human as worthy of love, compassion, and acceptance as they are. If this sounds like the right place for your family, check out our program options below!

Community Nomads- Microschool

Community Nomads is an education program that includes all traditional academic subjects, taught by a certified and experienced educator. Essentially, we are a micro private school in a homeschool environment.

We use secular, progressive, and literature-centered curriculum resources. Our family-style learning community is child-centered and flexible. Individual and small group math and reading instruction ensures a strong academic foundation is built.

Enrolling ages 3-7 or roughly PreK-First grade. Our age range will grow each year, and student learning will progress as they are ready.

*We are offering full-time and part-time enrollment.*

Learning Collaborative- For Science & History

New for the 26-27 school year is The Little Folk School Learning Collaborative!

We are launching with the foundational focus on Science and History, but we will explore expanding to other areas in the future if interest grows.

This program will be for ages 12 and under with their caregiver present. Your family can join our Learning Collaborative as we explore empirical science and honest history topics using curriculum resources that are secular, progressive, and inclusive.

Open Adventures- Occasional Meetups

Join us for some periodically planned adventures and learning experiences! You will provide your own transportation and pay any associated program fees (if necessary), but there will be no additional fee from The Little Folk School. We want to build a community of like-minded families for our children (and us)!
