COMMUNITY NOMADS
MICROSCHOOL

No matter if your family is looking for an all-inclusive private academic experience or you are a home-educating family looking for lots of academic enrichment, your kiddo could be a good fit in our program. We are offering full-time and part-time enrollment.

Students in our full-time microschool program will have individual and small group instruction in math and reading to ensure a mastery-based learning progression. They will also participate in our Learning Collaborative for science and history. In addition to those core subjects, there will be project-based learning investigations, community-based experiences, extensive nature exploration, and open-ended free play to ensure that the joys of childhood are not only included but also nurtured during our time together. Students attending on a part-time basis will have the same experiences based on their family's educational goals and enrollment schedule.

Our curriculum is secular, child-focused, developmentally appropriate, and individualized. You can learn about the curriculum that guides our learning experiences on our curriculum page.

We operate Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30, and generally follow the HCPS calendar for safety-related weather closings and major holiday breaks. Our school year enrollment consists of both Fall and Spring sessions, while the Summer session can be enrolled separately.

Fall Session- August 24- December 18
Spring Session- January 4-May 28
Summer Session- June-August (dates TBD)

With the flexible structure of our microschool, we can enroll to provide a full academic private education under the VA Certified Tutor Law or academic enrichment samples with end-of-year evaluation letters for homeschooling students as needed.

Email us if you are interested in learning more and to schedule a family meet-and-greet to ensure this is a good fit for everyone.

$300 non-refundable registration fee due at the start of each enrollment period.
